Custom Terrain Map by Pamphlet.
I was experimenting with terrain back in May. Other things have taken up my time and I never made it into a map. 4 Months later I dug up the old file, added stone layers, threw in some vegetation, and left it to render. The result, my first completed map in over half a year!
Sadly I wasn't able to make a survival friendly version or change the vegetation. By updating World Painter, the file had corrupted and am no longer able to make changes.
Information
Map Size: 2048 x 2048
No ores
No caves
No naturally spawning resources
Ground material: Stone

I used a tree repository from online so I didn't have to go through the painstakingly long process of designing custom trees.
If I could I would go back and work on the vegetation, add more variety in the plants and increase the density. Sadly, the project file corrupted and had to stick with what I had.
The longest part was rendering the screenshots. I used Chunky to make these really nice HD photos, but each image takes a few hours to process. Secretly I wanted to increase the resolution and SPP, but that would be tripling or even quadrupling the render time :P
Thanks for the response btw :D
Clarified it a lot for me.. always been wondering how long these projects take
