Update #6 : 08/18/2013 7:05:48 am8/18/13

The tree grip world is again included.

Update #5 : 07/19/2013 2:00:07 pm7/19/13

Another update including a few changes among which:
  • African trees
  • Altered some models slightly, to have less floatyness and awkwardness people complained about, and less fences.
  • The old models have roots now and come in BO2 format aswell, which should be a great news for those who like to worldpaint
  • The download no longer includes world files, there are ample example of how one can use these trees in douzons if not hundreds of projects on PMC, and it makes the download size a lot smaller

Update #4 : 03/10/2013 2:35:56 pm3/10/13

Added a new filter option, an Excel sheet with checkboxes to help you decide which trees would fit your need! Do watch the video if you get stuck with it!

Update #3 : 02/01/2013 2:05:36 pm2/01/13

i've added 42 trees from the Amazon to the Tree Repository. I'd has a right variety of trees which will fit in most tropical settings.

Update #2 : 12/29/2012 9:28:52 am12/29/12

Ball_Lightning made a lovely cinematic showing of the two test islands thus far. It is said a picture tells more than a thousand words, by that logic a cinematic must be the equivalent of an atlas. About as good as it gets without downloading the project and actually looking at it ingame. :)

Update #1 : 12/28/2012 5:19:07 pm12/28/12

Added 43 templates for native North American trees

The way you copied the trees and then saved them as schematic, is annoying me, *sigh*

You could just copy it from the log, which is close, and we would //paste -a without breaking anyting and It would fit perfectly.

I will look into the relative position data. The method used for creation of the schematics doesn't create such data. This will be one of the things i will look into for future versions!

Thanks a lot man! My world now look so amazing.
I was wondering if I could use these trees for a map I'm working on, and if I can, how would I go about transfering them into the map? In fact, how do you have them replace the old trees in the game, or is that not possible?
Create the world with worldpainter (find it on worldpainter.net) or use mcedit and place each tree by hand.
Can I use these in my worldpainter projects if I give credit?
Yes, this pack is made specifically for people to use in maps and projects, I would recommend crediting him at the least. (He also might appreciate a donation but thats not required.)
Unable to donate, but credit will be given.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help with my problem, every time I try to get any of the custom trees on "add a custom object layer" on World Painter it says "I/O error while loading Custom Tree Repository by Lentebriesje.7z; it was not added" and the custom trees look awesome and I really want to use them in my world but it won't let me😪. Please help 😀

That's not an original download. I only provided my objects in a .zip . But i think the error message is simply referencing to the fact that you need to extract the models in a folder and add the .bo2 or .schematic files.

Hello lentebriesje. Awesome work you have done here. So, I downloaded this zip file. Placed it in a folder that's in my minecraft folder but it hasn't done anything. Any chance you could give me a step by step guild on how to get the tree maps onto minecraft. I will be using "your tree" on worldpainter project. Can you or anyone help. Thankyou for your time and nicely done again on he work you have done.

I know.I love the trees but it wont work[oh wate i am Epicness937 hehheh]
Hello, I am currently building a city and making use of (Very few of) your trees for the project. Just so you are aware I have not uploaded anything in my city using your trees yet (I wanted to be clear on your requests). First, is it okay for me to be using the few trees i have used in my map? (By the way, I am only using the American trees that are indigenous to California). Second, would it be alright to upload my creations with said trees? and allow people to be able to download said creations with said trees?

I just wanted to clairify that I was reading your Copyright Requests correctly. Thank you for your time.

BTW, these trees are brilliant and very realistic.

OH and also, I intend, to give you the full credit and link people to your page here.

Yes, you can. Just don't upload them as schematics, bo2s or any other method of which the goal can only be to redistribute the tree models themselves. If you use the models only to dress up your own work, and the models are a fitted in the terrain, no problem publishing your projects like that.
Thanks!

Awesome job, I have see many of these trees irl and must say they look to familiar to the pack you have made. Well done DSF.  One tree I would have loved to se in htis is the Sequoia being one of the grandest trees in the world, and found in one area of Calif., but I have the big trees mod which helps. Placing them would have been nicer than random by mod.

Thank you for sharing all your work, Kal.
As wonderful as these trees are i get told everytime i try to extract these files that 7-zip can't open the archive. Can anyone help?

Thanks for specifying what software you use. I will investigate the issues you have uncompressing the file with 7zip. Meanwhile consider getting WinZip or winrar. That's the software I use and is as far as I know compatible.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm on it and will update the download if I can't uncompress the files using 7zip myself.

Thank you so much! I'm a big user of worldpainter so these are extremely helpful :)
