The retro-composition of 81-717.5А / 714.5А was built in 2010 to the 75th anniversary of the Moscow Metro and stylized as the first train, which consisted of cars of type A. Made on the basis of the model 81-717.5М / 714.5М, it looks different from the base model with the following details : used the stylized A-type carriages for the frontal part of the head cars with two large chrome-plated round-shaped buffer lamps. The interior trim of the cars is made of flame-retardant plastic, imitating linkrust - the material used in the salons of cars of old series; the salon is equipped with soft sofas with sidewalls of seats, as well as sconce lamps, typical of the first subway trains. Initially, wooden window frames were installed in the carriages, subsequently replaced with standard aluminum, covered with wood-like film. All other aluminum parts of the passenger compartment (door trim, slats between plastic sheets) are replaced with wood-like plastic. The rest of the composition is similar to the last series of cars 81-717.5М / 714.5М and is intended for regular passenger operation.
