Some of you may remember this map from here: https://www.minecraftworldmap.com/worlds/GVjCX#/26/64/-1555/-3/0/0
However, the file became corrupted and now it isn't even downloadable, having it be lost forever. You can see a past state of the map on that site, and on this map you may see some similarities. The castle, cloud homes and more are yet to be added.

Adrolis is a city set 20 years from now. It's in a different universe and planet than us, however it shares many similarities with human cities and technology. The continent in which it's set is called Kingland. Instead of presidents, most countries have kings, which serve a similar role with more control, and are often thought to be chosen by "destiny". The continent is north of the equator and the city has a humid continental climate, with hot summers and cold and snowy winters.
HISTORY:
(a lot of this may sound dumb as some of it was thought of 4 years ago, and I don't want to change it now)
On the planet "Rock Loria" or just "Loria", there exist people that have wings, magic and powers, and normal people.
Of course, they made their cities accommodate to those different 'races', with cloud homes, air cities, and loads of technology relying on magic. Adrolis is Kingland's 2nd largest city, behind the capital city Retroid, and at first glance it looks way less advanced than Retroid. Its city development started as early as 1350, with mostly houses and small shops on its main district near the Adrolis River. In the year 1790, the city's first skyscraper was made, the Prebscott building (nicknamed "Fossil scraper" due to its age). It towered over all other neighboring hotels and businesses, at 117.5 meters (Minecraft blocks) tall. It is one of the city's oldest still standing buildings from the old ages, since various hotels were demolished to make room for more businesses (most famous chain of hotels demolished were Hotels A-D, with "Hotel C" being the last one standing, and holding a historic value. It can be seen in the downtown area on Adrolis Lane).
The tallest still standing building after that was the Shepherd building, constructed in 1814.
After that, the city was pretty static, with a population of around 60,000 people, a number which started to decrease over time.
It wasn't until 2001 that the city rose up again. This age is known as the first major renaissance. The Kingland Monument has been constructed in remembrance of the renaissance, and it can be seen on Adrolis Lane. A monorail track has also been made to further improve the city's once held "Public Transport Capital of the World" title. Other major buildings made in 2001 are the Cultural Center, Quint Towers, Lakeside Hotel, Monroe Tower and the Baruma Offices Building.
The city remained mostly the same up until mid 2034, with the Murroak Broadcasting Tower (not yet built in the map) being the only major building constructed since 2001.
In mid 2034, kings Mark and Ben Kingler were chosen as rulers of the country. They refurbished and rebuilt a castle out of castle structure remains on a cliff in the city, which was previously a historic landmark. With their new status, they worked on improving the city in any way they could. The now trillion dollar (Or emperink, as the currency is called) company "RoTech" reached out to the kings, and helped them on improving Adrolis. RoTech is a company that specializes in AI and other programs, and they now manufacture androids and vehicles. RoTech released their self-driving buses and taxis to Adrolis and made the buses free of fare in hopes of giving back the city its former title. The buses were a massive success, lowering overall traffic and increasing safety and walkability of the city. RoTech then worked on expanding Adrolis' monorail line to go even further (one of them even going to a neighboring city of Lukesville) and made the trains able to reach higher top speeds. After all of the effort between RoTech and the Kings, the city became a much bigger tourist trap than it ever was before. In late 2034/early 2035, RoTech Headquarters rose up from the ground, being the first big change to the downtown skyline in decades. The city is again known as the Public Transport Capital of the World, so PTK (Public Transport of Kingland) Tower was established near Grand Adrolis Plaza.
In 2038, RoTech began manufacturing androids, which helped a lot with the city's overall maintenance and many businesses, like restaurants. The city began earning more money than ever before.
Another company reached out to the city in 2038, "AirBus". They allowed easy transport to cloud homes and cities in Adrolis by their green-fueled flying buses. Since the city's policies demanded it, public AirBuses are free of fare.
A large advertisement building was constructed near Adrolis' business district AirBus station, which gave many homeless or jobless people job opportunities and kept homeless people off the streets. Since then, the city has been doing successfully, and is one of Rock Loria's most famous cities.
