Added Creditminecraftpg5 for the inspiration
12
Hello, I'm back with another project to celebrate recently reaching level 10! Not much, but I can still be happy when I want to.
This build was inspired by minecraftpg5's build, Storage System 100, that I checked out.
It was pretty amazing, but the selection system was broken, and the number of minecart entities lagged my game. I took the concept and engineered it in 1.7.2. I really wanted to add more features, and I think I did pretty well.
Also surprising was how much more compact this version is; each item type is 1-wide and tile-able, and it measures 32 blocks wide.
Features of the design:
First, you'll see an orange glass pillar as you enter the hub. Throw items into the hoppers around it to input items to be sorted.
Next, head over to the left where there are two double chests and a hopper. Pick the items you want out of those chests, and place them all at once in the trapped chest against the back wall.
Wait a bit, it takes some time for the items to process.
Then, on the right, at some time a chest and hopper will be revealed. Select the quantity of items you want from the chest, then toss them all in at once in the hopper.
After that, wait a while, maybe a minute or more depending on how many items and item types you selected, for all your items to get back to the hub.
I hope you like the build and/or diamond the project. I hope to upload something else soon.

The Ender Pearl sorting and storage is still experimental and bugged out a bit for me sometimes.

Features of the design:
- 64 item slots, though easily expandable by multiples of 16
- Can store over 11000 items of each type; 3 double chests + 4 hoppers.
- Select any of the 64 items, and select multiple items at the same time
- View the quantity of a selected item
- Select and grab from the system any quantity of item >1
- Overflow-protected
- Storage silos for your outputs and any overflow/unsortable items.
- Swag-tastic glass item elevator
- Easily hook up the system to an automatic furnace, brewing station, and farms.
