Testing!
This is a test map entirely made just to test a few theories on saving information for the purpose of creating quests and mini games. These commands are not entirely perfected as I still have to rewrite them for them to work in a datapack.

purhaps this will help you write your own adventure story?

Details:
3 seperate "quests" (or doors) are required to be completed to walk all the way through your story.

1- is a one time quest. you find the "blue key" (enter xyz location) and the door is perminately opened.

2- is a three variable quest. you must find the "red key" (enter xyz location), have entered the red platform (xyz), and be by the door. (from running the map it might look like only 2 variables, but entering the red platform loctation is also very close to the door. if you look at the command blocks they are indeed 3 variables).

3- earn reputation. For now i have 2 scores- one to track overall reputation, and the other for talking to the villager. Talk to the villager enough to be able to open the key.

4- to test that I can edit the level.dat to change what type of gamemode it is in. If this is done correctly you will be unable to use cheats and be in adventure mode. If you are downloading this to practice your own map making, that will be your first test: changing it to creative and adding commands. :)

This is all theory. another concept was using colored concrete to "store" data in a hidden location.
