The story behind Aldernhill is as follows. When the first men set voyage from the Emerald Lands, One of the many vessels found themselves on a new land. The land was cold, but it fulfilled their needs. Just off the mainland was a small Island, fully surrounded by water and seemed to be a great place to build their settlement. Well little did they know that long ago a darkness had already made its home just under their feet. A darkness bent on the destruction of the living, to harvest souls to re-incarnate a long lost love. This was no ordinary love, but a god whom was killed in a mortal form, lost to the void. Millions of souls were needed for her to return among the living, and soon when the darkness has felt the presence of enough souls, the dead army shall return and harvest the needed souls from the corpses of the fallen to accomplish their grim purpose.
