Everyday you’d hear the loud constant chopping of armed helicopters beyond your cracked window or worn out tent. You wouldn’t be surprised if an explosion went off and another battle had ignited. Ballistas, rockets, and artillery firing chaotically in every direction. The enemy had tried to break through our rugged walls yet again, and once more they were pacified with swift retaliation.

Outside the main district’s walls was chaos. Dead trees and rusty, beaten-up cars were littered everywhere. Crumbled structures and their shattered windows were devastating to see. You could clearly see the tracks where tanks once strode along the barren earth, and where the rows of soldiers marched through a landscape of destruction.
