Another Abandoned City: Steveo s Cave Discovery

o PMC Contest [Caved-In] Entry

Steve has basked in sunshine on his long deserved break; he sailed on some boats, lay on the beach, drank juice from a coconut, and his luck skyrocketed when he went to the casino and hit jackpot.

Off he was, no break, to the limit of the world itself - constructing a colossal structure high above the clouds. But even the most amazing of spending sprees have to stop at some point. Out of money and out of luck, Steve has departed his home in the sky, or rather has been flung out, and ventures to a new land. Pick on his back, sword at his side, he ventured far off into the distance.

Over two months passed, and Steve began to give up hope on finding new riches... but perhaps his luck had not completely run out. He set up his hut and began digging. However, the mine shaft he was creating was not yielding anything, and he considered turning back. Out of frustration he brought his pick down on the rock in front of him. The mine began shaking violently, collapsing in upon itself until Steve found himself lying on the floor of a large cavern.

This cavern was not empty, though. It contained... Something, never seen before..

Welcome to my first custom map!!

First off, I want to say, I have big plans for this map, and I intend to turn this into a complete Adventure Map, complete with a complex story line, custom trades, command blocks, and a little bit of red stone, and old-fashion parkour.

But that wono t all be complete until the end of next year (rough estimate, It will most likely be sooner).

For now, Io ll just attempt to finish at least 80% of the actual City, and post it on PMC.

I try not to go longer than a couple of days without posting an update log, and some new pictures, so this wono t be a map that goes into construction, then just appears out of nowhere. I want to keep you all updated as much as possible, so I can get feedback, and edit some things if needed. ( I NEED CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM :D )

WELL, I HOPE YOU ENJOY :]

Please, no posting this anywhere UNLESS YOU CREDIT ME AND THE CONTEST. Thanks :]

Update: I will be posting this on the 29th

I definitely like it! I tried the contest... but building in caves doesn't seem to be my strong point, so I didn't upload it. =3

Definitely a great work of art, my project seems very lame, as the only things I have really used are obsidian, Nether Brick, and Stone Brick. It makes my cave seem unchanged. Maybe I'll start using more wood (That's what she said) planks, like yours. Many people like you have inspired me to start building amazing things like this. Also, great use of slabs! I always forget about those half-blocks (No offense slabs!), I guess I should use more of them as well. Great Work, and diamond for you!
