This is a gate I made when trying out ideas for an Egypt-themed redstone Puzzle Map.
The basis of how it works is a Piston-driven RS NOR Latch. The two inputs for the RS NOR Latch are connected to buttons.Both inputs are connected to two buttons, one on the inside and one on the outside, to allow you to enter from both directions.
The output of the latch is connected to two Piston Gates/Portcullis's. However, the signal is inverted before it travels to one of the Gates, making sure that one gate is always closed and that no Hostile mobs can get in.
The redstone of it is pretty basic, so I don't think there's anything that people can't recreate. However, I will provide a world save if people want one.
EDIT: Basically, it's two of these spliced together.
EDIT: I have added the download link by request, however this was built on a flat Sandstone Map I use for trying out various Redstone stuffs, so don't be surprised if you come across any other circuits/buildings and such.

good project and nicoe tp pack choice :D
I was really just testing out an idea to make sure it worked, and it turned out much better than expected!
As for the Texture Pack, it truly is one of the best I've ever used. Probably because it's so true to the default textures. Not to say I don't like original packs, but this one manages to keep the feel of normal Minecraft.
I'm rambling! Someone stop me! :P
