some feedback: the base game is possible to beat with practice, but each tainted vault *requires* use of cheats to progress through. There's no problem with making a game difficult, and I'm not saying I don't want to experience trial and error, but when the trial and error turns into frustration, I end up being mad at the game rather than mad at myself and making corrections. I want to experience the tainted vaults properly with how the way it was intended, but I end up switching to creative mode just to get past one arena with 15 waves of mini-boss enemies. It takes the experience away from myself (not from the base game, though. The base game was difficult enough on casual)

No level requires cheats to beat, and all of them (bar TV2 which released a week ago) has been completed without dying by multiple people. Tainted vaults are designed to be a challenge for veteran players who beat the base game without effort on divine tragedy. TV2 especially was made to challenge people who mastered the base game completely and have been completing various challenge run, like trial of tragedy with a pumkin on their head. No arena in the game contains 15 waves, the longest one in TV2 is 4 waves.

All you said points to the fact you simply haven't mastered the game to the point where you are supposed to take tainted vaults on.
