This a TRULY fully automatic mushroom farm no replacement of mushrooms needed there are "seed" mushrooms that are used to constantly spawn more mushrooms.
It does take a while to fully fill the building but when it is done it should provide you with at least 2 full stacks of both types of mushrooms.

All you have to do is hit the lever wait until no more mushrooms are being collected then hit the lever again and wait!

There is also a viewing area behind piston walls to check if the farm is full

FIX: there was a slight bug with the world where the water wouldnt pour correctly on the top floor, it is now fixed and you can download the fixed world

realized that there is a small error with the farm... the red mushroom (top floor) is 1 block too far which prevents water from cascading onto the next level i will fix this ASAP

no problem! goodluck! also this design is "stackable" ie you can make it as long as you want as long as each level is at most 7 blocks (or 6 can't remember) :P just play with water and get a feel for it
