I know this is probably the lamest thing you've ever seen. and you've seen it 1000 times before. But, this was my first project, so I started with a simple and easy one. This is the automatic sugarcane/cactus farm. The pistons are placed so that they take out the 2nd from the bottom piece of sugar cane , leaving the bottom so you dont have to replant, and destroying the ones above. You can swap the sugarcane for cactus.
