World Leveling with Randomly Generated Dungeons

You will run into bugs
Instead of wasting rare bursts of inspiration on testing we speed code 1,000 things at a time and fix'em when we find'em.

It seems like a much better idea than sitting on it for years, therefore, we present to you Automatormc's (forever in beta) RPG.


I will update every time a bug is found and add a pile of new errors occasionally, enjoy :)

For any questions just use the email, posting in forums is a nightmare of hoops these days.

Played through this again after the long break from Minecraft and still love it to bits! I love the new shotgun/wand weapons and how you can upgrade them! It may be more structure and less chaotic than earlier versions I played but the custom bosses and lucky blocks still kept me on my toes.

Congrats on what is surely the most updated and most replayable map ever!

Quests and Rewards manually activated to avoid unloaded chunk issues *3 days on this alone :)

Skeles switch to swords when arrow effects are activated
Added and improved random sub-boss mobs from Enderbent
New random Giant Sub-boss chance after level 7
Improved Enderbent Giant AI system adding jump ability

Planned:
Upgrade all Random Dungeon Generators *Woah! Might need a few weeks...
Optimizations - Incorporating a few things we discovered along the way.
With 2 weeks in I estimate competition in another 4-6

I do not appear to be able to run this. I get spawned in a random location all right, but it stops generating chunks after a while, and I do not get the book that is supposed to start a village. What's going wrong? I have the resourcepack enabled and have followed all other instructions I could find.


Yet I have no way to start the game.

Nevermind, all minecraft needed was more RAM. it was a fresh download so it only had 128 mb, I gave it 2 GB and now it worked.




However, it is now extremely laggy, and it's not because of my specs, since I have an i7-6700, 24 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060. Perhaps I should reduce the RAM back to 1024?

Ok, final little update, installing optifine fixed it. I recommend you change your description of "recommended mods" to "required mods", because without Optifine this map was not playable for me.

I can easily run a server and play using an i7 960 3.2 GHz 12 RAM Radeon HD6800 with default java settings. Optifine allows for extreme shaders, 64X64 texture pack, and 4X post Antialiasing restricted to a steady 60 fps.

However, generating the first chunks on any world post Minecraft 1.7 takes me a very long time without Optifine. - Not affiliated

Changed wording to "Highly Recommended" :p

Hm, that may have been it, it was 100% a chunk thing, and optifine allows lazy chunk loading & dynamic chunk loading

Well, so far I've definitely enjoyed it. Been having some trouble with the balancing (losing all my non-shop villagers to UFO's because it took me more than 10 secs to shoot each one down), but apart from that i've enjoyed it.


I wonder, what will you be doing with Observer blocks etc? Those seem like a very powerful way to random-gen dungeons.
