Babil - The Steadfast Castle
Hello! This build combines the architectural complexity of a castle, its mobility and personal aircraft, and a story about the landscape its feet stomps on. The reference pic for it is below, as well as some bonus content (SkyBreaker content and Crimson Babil added) and a story. I've made it a sequel to the Rollerquester, the Kingdom of Arkade and the Genesis Turtle (you may need to visit those sites for story reference).
Inspired by the Final Fantasy 12 Mythril Golem.
FUN FACT: Most well-known anthropomorphic creatures (or anthros/furries for short) such as werewolves - or basically dogs and cats that stand alone - are also called digitigrades. This means they walk on the digits (toes) of their feet.
The screenshots include:
GLSL Shaders Mod, compatible with Minecraft Forge 1.7+
WorldPainter, downloadable freeware (recommended for large-scale operations)
World Machine, free and premium (recommended for large-scale terraforming)
Chunky Render, downloadable freeware
Pamplemousse resource pack by MrFruitTree (recommended for modern downloads)

Long after the execution of the ruthless ruler Howitzer, the Kingdom of Arkade slowly recovered from the depression. Ever since Steve's faithful departure and Matre's sudden disappearance, they flourished in peace. From the lowly farmers filling their makeshift silos with abundant harvest to the merchants conjuring the best of bargains for food and housewares. With the Resistance ruling as their trustworthy government, the Kingdom rejoiced.
For centuries the two empires grew in industry, and slowly mastered military and engineering potential. From the planet they drilled and cut down plenty for resources, for technology was the main focus. Everywhere plants and factories sprouted, cultivating metals and alloys unobtainable in nature. Air and sea travel was perfected, which brought tourists and foreigners alike to the cosmopolitans. Each empire grew equally in economy and trade until the continents shone brightly from the two capital cities at night.
Matre, visiting the prosperous nations, became worried. He had let the corruption fall to justice, but now he had let nature fall gradually to man. From space he could see the landmasses shrivel and fade into pale desert as more and more cities evolved. He made a mistake in planning the Kingdom's salvation. He must now plan its destruction. The dying planet must be restored to its beauty.
He convinced researchers and builders of the Azure Empire to construct a new military fleet to roam the earth to guard the land and sky. They called it the Babil Project, which comprised of a walking fortress equipped with an armored airship. Fully manned, this giant appeared to be the most impressive of all the technology available. Able to persuade the king to fall into greed for power, he observed the coalition suddenly collapse and turn into a declaration of war. The angered Crimson managed to keep up and construct their own Babil arsenal. All the while, the Resistance remnants pulled out of war in attempt to live neutrally outside the battling continents.
While the Babil were prepared, Matre discreetly hid special seeds that dispatch as the golems' feet stomp on the barren ground. Hoping this would restore the greenery of the land, he disappeared into space once more, and out of time.
From the Genesis turtles he would watch the empires crumble and the planet reproduce life. Taking creature eggs from each turtle he would make the planet filled with animals of many kinds. He knew it would challenge the technology of man after the fall, and certainly slow down the planet's depletion.
The Kingdom of Arkade no longer existed. The two capitals have descended into underground shelters and ruins. All that remained of the empires were the Babil and their air fleets, waiting in silence to grow again.
