Battle for Asterope

Entry for project 2048.


  Humans have managed to create a space empire after being near extinction. However, the empire is fragile and is protected by a handful of bastions placed in strategic choke points. Asterope is the most important of the bastions, protecting the main entrance into the empire.

  An ancient race of aliens, called Scree, believe that humans are too weak to survive and that they must guide humanity into the future. They suddenly attack Asterope, sending two Drone Mother Ships, Twenty Drone Carriers, and five missile carriers. The sudden attack allows them to quickly take down a defense platform. Can Asterope hold until humanities fleet arrives?
