During World War II she served as a flagship, participating mainly in support missions. She came into conflict several times with U-Boats and smaller ships. She survived the war and remained active until the 1950s when she was laid up. She remained there for several years as a reserve. When scrapping was considered, an organization that had already revived several smaller Livian warships as museums fought to preserve the ship, which was made possible.
Today the ship serves as an attraction under the organization.
