Hello everyone!
Sorry for the long wait for this one, I've been unwell and distracted by a few things. I'm back working on ship builds and returning to uploading my American destroyers. This week we have the Benson-class, one of the more famous American destroyer classes. It's very similar to the Sims in some respects (such as the bridge and gun layout, as well as the primary and anti-aircraft armament) but with a bump in torpedo power, up to two quintuple 533mm torpedo tubes. This was a relatively simple build, I took the Sims-class and heavily modified it to match it with the Benson. However, once again, the in-game model in WoWs is the older version of the Benson, so I used the Loyang model which is the more modern Benson from the late war and adjusted it to make sure it was accurate.

Statistics are as follows:
Length - 106 Blocks (not including extremities)
Beam - 11 Blocks (ditto)
Draught - 4 Blocks
Primary Armament: 4 x 127mm/38 Mark XXX DP Guns [4 x 1]
Anti-Aircraft Armament: Ditto + 4 x 40mm/56 Bofors QF Mark I Guns [2 x 2], 4 x 20mm/70 Oerlikon Mark X Guns [4 x 1]
Torpedo Armament: 10 x 533mm Torpedoes [2 x 5]
Thanks for your patience in waiting for my uploads, the next ones should be a little quicker, hopefully! The Fletcher class is next and I've built four of them to represent some of the most interesting variants of one of the greatest destroyer classes ever built. So, the first couple of variants are coming soon.
