The Boeing 717 is a twin-engine single-aisle short to medium range aircraft developed by McDonnell Douglas, and later built and sold by Boeing after the two companies merged. The 717 is the final derivative of the long-produced DC-9 aircraft and its derivatives, including variants of the original DC-9, MD-80 variants, the MD-90, and the 717 (originally known as MD-95). Today not many 717s are left in the world, and are being operated by only 3 airlines at this point: Delta, QantasLink, and Hawaiian Airlines.
