I highly recommend doing up scaled versions instead! (Like 10 times the minecraft size, so you can add details and more blocks.) you know, like replica, but not minecraft-real-life size, bigger, so it can be truly amazing...  :)

Indeed, you may not be the first, but it's a fact that it will be wY more attractive and popular nice than small models that are only about 20 blocks in total. :) think of big scales, so you can have real circles for the tires, and some curves. :D
