How to install Minecraft Maps on Java Edition

This map includes a Command Book which will help you building.
It also containes Voxel Sniper and Paint.

It only works in singleplayer!

Minecraft version: 1.8.4

Commands: 
  • /block
  • /platform
  • /pillar
  • /path
  • /erase
  • /cube
  • /hcube
  • /sphere
  • /hsphere
  • /wall
  • /clear
  • /circle
  • /voxel sniper
  • /paint
These commands will give you some help:
  • /help
  • /list

I can only do a platform of 5 blocks or less. Why? Im on Version 1.8.4 if that matters.

EDIT: I updated to 1.8.6 and the same thing is happening. Also it HAS to be 5 blocks for it to work now. :(

EDIT (Again!): Switched computers and it works. The paint function is really laggy though. :)

Minecraft has to calculate a lot of light updating the bigger a platform is. I have a really good computer and a 181x181 platform takes about 30 seconds to appear. So if your computer is quite slow it will take a lot of time.

You should be able to open it with winrar and if you don't have that too just download 7zip. It's free ;)

Okay, i've downloaded the .7z file and extracted it so I have the unzipped folder but I can't find what to do then. I put the whle folder in the Mods folder of minecraft but nothing seemed to happen.
I'm trying to do this for my son so sorry if this is a bit of a noob question but I have tried to look around for an answer but none of the video's show how to install, just use. Thx
