This is part one of a new series I am starting. The plan is to make tutorials on how to build in various styles.

Todays tutorial:
Swiss Chalet style

About the style:

The Swiss chalet style was originally created during the Romantic era with inspiration from Swiss chalets. The style spread to Great Britain, and became popular among rich landowners who were attracted to the ideal of living a ''simple life'' in a chalet among the mountains. The style then spread to other countries in Europe such as Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden and Norway.

Characteristics:

Gabled roofs with wide eaves

Exposed construction beams, timber and brackets.

Decorative carvings

Balconies

Many and large windows

Weatherboarding

Large basement

Often half integrated in the surrounding area

Blocks to use when building in this style:

Wooden trapdoors

Fences, fence gates

Stairs, slabs

Wood blocks

White wool, white concrete powder

Stonebricks, cobblestone, smooth stone

Quartz slabs

Glass

Which blocks and which combinations you want to use is up to you, but these are the blocks I have used.

Where to build it:

Among mountains, valleys or forests close to mountains. Can be built in summer style with flowers, grass and fields or in winter style with snow piles around the basement.

Which style should I do next? Tell me in the comments!

It's looks like a good idea and it's a nice house, but I am not able to build it based on your info. Overall I think it would be good to put such builds into the standard game where you can explore the world and find builds in the world but also not just the build in itself but in different stages so you can learn how to build it.
