Fort Atropi, the date is 1:1:1 (1st decade, of the 1st century, of the 1st era) It is a small, but fairly well made(for being two centuries old, with only minor repairs done) and stands on vital ground, it sits directly in the way of the Orc armies, notorious for pillaging villages and slaughtering the population. It carries a normal garrison of 186 soldiers, all of which are armed with a crossbow, and short sword, but have little to no armor. THere is also a militia of a bout 40 townsfolk(the fort does need to be somewhat suffiecient, and soldiers cant be farming in the middle of battle) and they are armed with sickles and pitchforks, though some wiht only knives or rocks.



Seiges of Fort Atropi:

The First Orc Seige, 1:1:1, 600 Orcs, riding their messed up versions of horses, approached the Fort. It had been 150yrs. Since the last major Orc attack on the Fort. The first wave, consisting of around 200 horsemen, was repelled succesfully, while a small force of 80 reinfocment archers, veterans of fighting Orc skirmishes, arrived to help out the defenders. The force at that point was hovering around 225.

The second wave, consisting of around 300 Orcs, were beaten backa t first, but then as the rest of the Orcs piled in, some 80 extras, the main gates were broken, there was still the kill zone and another set of gates, but those broke to after some more fighting. But, after an unsuccesful charge into the village, 80 some Orcs were slaughtered by the awaiting arches, and a militia suprise attack from around the cornor of the main gates. After this, the Orcs retreated back into Orc territory, leaving a half dead garrison alone to fight the Orcish skirmishers all night.

About 120 skirmishers came. Most mercanaries, hired by the Orcish government, patriots fighting for their race, or just ordinairy Orcs, looking for trouble. They were beaten off but the garrison had to evacuate the fort the next day and hide in the hills untill a construction team and 200 fresh troops, to rebuild and garrison the base. After this about 80 of the fresh units left, since the base could only support a max 300 soldiers, plus the milita.

Human Losses: Around 200(including militia)

Orc Losses: Around 450

Orcish Skirmisher Losses: Estimated 40
