This build is of a late 15th century lateen-rigged caravel. Popular with the Portuguese and Spanish during the Age of Exploration, this type of ship is known for its maneuverability, speed, and ability to sail close to the shore.
It is based on a model at the Musée national de la Marine in Paris as well as the drawing on the box of a Heller kit I built as a kid. The hull is from a caravel I built in early high school which I wanted to repurpose to make this version with a larger lateen sail at a different angle. The interior is also fully complete. The caravel is probably my favourite ship type and so I am quite proud of this one (also because shaping the sail was incredibly difficult).
You may upload or use the ship however you want, but please give credit! Rendered with Chunky.
