This is a cathedral that I built and I thought I'd share it with the Minecraft community. It's an original design based roughly on the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, with some elements inspired by other cathedrals as well as the great work of other Minecrafters.
I designed and constructed this myself, but I had a lot of help mining materials from two other people. It took me a couple hours a day for a little over 3 weeks to finish it. Everything was built block by block, MCEdit was used to lower the ground.

So the Village+ All the Builds was it made only by u or with some friends???

Just Wondering.... Keep it Up They're amazing :D
Thanks. I designed and built nearly everything in this world by myself. This is on a private server where I do have two friends who do a lot of the mining of materials for me. They really like mining more than building.

Nice Cathedral ;)
very nice
I am not very familiar with Macs, but I think that world saves are compatible between Macs and PCs since it's Java. I don't know if MCEdit files are compatible.

This is not for apple computers? or is it? please upload one for apple computers.
Im sorta new to minecraft so I kinda need a little help, specifically things like this. What I would like to know is that once I download it how do I get it into minecraft. plz help
I have two different downloads available. The one called "World Save" is my entire world. This is good if you just want to load it up and walk around in it to take a look. You can just delete it when you are finished. The second download is the "Schematic", this is just the cathedral so that you can add it to your world if you'd like. To use this, you need to download the program MCedit (http://www.minecraftdl.com/tag/mcedit/). You can then load the schematic file with this program and place it anywhere in your world that you'd like.

what is the texture pack called?
This is my own texture pack. It's a compilation of several other texture packs with some original textures by me. I don't know if I could release it, seeing as it's mostly other people's work.

doesn't matter you can release it as a remix of several textures... or something
I went to upload my texture pack and on the upload page it is stated that uploading remixed texture packs is against PMC's policy and the will be removed. So instead I put it in the world download link on this page. Please let me know as soon as you download it so I can remove it. The pack is 64x64 and is finished for 1.8. It should also work for 1.9 pre-release 1, but it's not finished for 1.9.

I'm glad that you liked my project, I put up a link to the world save for you. It is a private server with just a few friends and this is an old save so there aren't a whole lot of buildings.

Fantastic work, really eye capturing. The balconys are especially good.
I'm glad that you liked it and thanks for the vote.
It wasn't easy digging up all that stone. You're welcome, Vlad. lol

no i meant save file download im new so i dont know about schematics and what not
I posted a link to the world save. I probably won't keep it up because some of the guys on the server don't like the idea of posting the whole world. You should definitely check out MCEdit, you can just load the schematic and place the building anywhere.
