The Exclusion Zone: Chernobyl Project
Description:
Explore the lost and forgotten world of Chernobyl, painstakingly recreated block-by-block in Minecraft. This map is my first live project and an atmospheric tribute to one of the most haunting places on Earth. Our goal is to deliver an authentic, explorable experience of the exclusion zone, blending accurate representations of its most iconic locations with custom additions to truly enhance the atmosphere. While the map is built for optimal exploration and gameplay, not strict 1:1 scale, every detail is designed to feel realistic and true to the zone's eerie reputation.
What to expect on your journey into the zone:
The Duga Radar Array: Stand in the shadow of the infamous "Russian Woodpecker" and its surrounding military town.
The Ghost City of Pripyat: Wander through the abandoned streets, apartments, and iconic Ferris wheel of this hauntingly beautiful city.
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin Nuclear Power Plant: See the ominous structure at the heart of the disaster, including the sarcophagus over Reactor 4.
The Red Forest: Explore the famously irradiated pine forest that was the first area to be hit by the fallout.
The Town of Chernobyl: Discover the lesser-known but historically significant settlement that gave the zone its name.
Reactors 5 and 6 (The Unfinished Buildings): As a special detail for enthusiasts, we've included the never-completed reactor structures.
