Hi there, I've been working on this city thing for a while now, this is the result so far.

This city environment was made as part of a huge project that I probably will never finish. The project I'm talking about is a semi-openworld experience that's set various interconnected environments dispersed on a large island. I've worked on several other scenes including a large sewer system, an underground laboratory, a somewhat-futuristic space station, and many other city areas like the one on this page. Bridges, cars, planes, boats, and all sorts of buildings are just waiting to be put together and tied into a captivating story that'll make you forget this is not a separate game.

But sadly the project is progressing very slowly, not only because I'm the only one working on it, but also because I don't play Minecraft as much as I once did. What you can see on this page took me several months to build and put together. If I want this project to one day be released I'll not only need a team of talented people, but also someone that is ready to take the lead as am probably not active enough.


This district started out with the red appartment building in the center. Inspired by various places I found on google maps, I took a lot of time to fine tune the feeling of the backstreets by adding several builds with various shapes, sizes and colors to it's surroundings. Seeing that I was able to fit this much details in such a small environment, I proceeded to place some of my favorite builds I made on an other map. I paid close attention to the ambiance of the city as I adapted my somewhat-flat-lookings older builds. To be honest, some of the buildings don't even look the same at all! I mostly concentrated on details and only built in this world when I felt inspired. I'm not done, but I'm fairly proud of the resluts.

Most of the buildings that you can see here have an interior. Although they are not all finished, some have highly detailed rooms and furnitures to bring the highest possible level of realism to the map. Restaurants, appartments, clothes shops and parkings are just a few exemple of what you can find on this map. A few cars are lying around in parkings, but I have yet to work seriously on populating the streets with cars. The recent construction site contains as much details as I could put without feeling too much cluttered.
Edit: A bridge can now be seen at one of the end of the main road. A new office building with a touch of modern was also added to this same road, along with many adjustment in the asphalt texture of the whole map. Many details were added or changed and a few buildings got their interior completed.

I finally decided to give you guys a download link so that you can explore what I've built! This doesn't mean that you can do everything you want with it though.
I wanted to keep this world "secret" in case I try to release it as part of the project mentionned above, but I'll probably never do that, at least not without major help.

What's next?
I will keep working on this map for sure, and I'll try to update this page as the progress goes. I'm also considering posting several other projects presenting some of my favorite creations with more details. Subscribe to me to find out!
