My goal is to help people and I think adding credit are just very annoying in some cases.
You can use my pack for free, but please consider adding credit!
Or at least share my work so more people can find this!

--------------------
I marked this project 100% completed, because every single tree and object now have a proper schematic, but I will update the pack from times to times(or on request, give me some ideas!). I really have no idea how many trees and features I will add to this, so stay tuned to find out!

Notes:
- Use the Minecraft world provided in this repository to choose what trees you want.
Names are written in-game!
- ALL schematics are centered with one or more logs(or roots) below the center point which allows you to use those trees in WorldPainter easily.
- The schematic download is only for the 3D schematic viewer. Download the full ZIP file instead!
- Read the info file for... well... more info!

If you have any question, comments or requests, don't hesitate to contact me!

Are you talking about player heads? If so, I found them on minecraft-heads.com
If you download my map, you'll find a setup to easily acess the ones that are the most related to trees. Also, you can use any of my trees for free as long as it's not a project that will generate money. You can find them in the world download as schematics.
Hope I answered your question!

Can I suggest two new kinds of trees?

Flowering trees with flowers tucked into the leaves, and desert plants like joshua trees and agave plants.

Great suggestions! I might try to make those sometime, especially the flowering one and the jushua tree. The agave plant seem pretty hard to recreate in MC however. Haven't made anything about desert yet so it's a good idea.
I'll be away for a while though, so unless you want me to make those especially for a project of yours, it'll take some time.
You have done an excellent job! I love the apple tree and pumpkin patch! Very creative uses of Player heads! I will use some of these things on my server. Thank you!

Thanks for the challenge! I had already tried willow trees, even if the result is a bit disappointing. They (2 I think) should be located between the dead trees and the tiny series, on the outerside of the map. I could make better ones though :P
I'll probably give it an other try sooner or later!

  • November 28, 2017, 1:39 pm
I usually ask for a small percentage or for a fixed amount. A one-time payment is ofter simpler and you can use every schematic for that specific version of the pack!
The reason is simple, I want to avoid plagiarism and, of course, profit of the immense and somewhat ridiculous amount of work I've put into the project.

Please contact me in private!
Thanks for your understanding

How do you create a command that summons the squid so when it dies it leaves the block behind like you have set up in the world? I want to know so I can utilize it in other ways and probably copy the commands in on different single player worlds since its very helpful. If you learned how to do it from a video or guide id appreciate that also :)
  • MrWizz

  • September 28, 2017, 6:42 pm
Nope! No guides or vids :) Built that by myself :) It's fairly simple, I suggest you have a look at the commands in the tree pack world.
It works this way basically:
1) Execute a command which spawns in a block of your choice whenever a squid with a specific name is found
2) Kills a squid with the same specific name (this command is chained after the first one to ensure it's executed second)
3) There a command running all the time which sets a score of 2 to any item that is an ink sack (the only way of targeting ink sacks amongst all item)
4) A command is chained after command no.3 that kills any item with a score of 2 (thus only ink sacks)
This contraption doesn't produce lag, is easy to set up (only the name and the block have to be changed) and is possible to get the item even if you're far away by using an anvil and renaming a squid egg.

I'm glad you like my contraption :)
Note: if you or anyone use this contraption somewhere else, please make sure to give proper credit!

Great tree pack. I am trying to use with Schematica on Forge and I cannot print the blocks because they are bark blocks, not the wood blocks. Do you know of a workaround for this?
  • MrWizz
  • Level 39
  • Artisan Engineer
  • August 23, 2017, 3:00 pm
Not really... Sorry
These trees were meant for decorating in creative mode using software like worldpainter, Mcedit or world edit(a mod).
To solve your issue, someone would have to remake every schematics after changing all bark blocks to logs with a command on worldedit.
I don't know if there's a workaround with Shematica as I've never used it. Sorry again
Amazing!!

I did actually... You're probably not downloading the right thing :)
I took an immense amount of time to make individual schematic that are properly centered. It's just waiting behind the "Download Minecraft world" button as a zip files with everything included!

Did you tried to use the schematic download? It's meant to work with the 3D world viewer on PMC. :P Sorry for the confusion!

  • MrWizz
  • Level 39
  • Artisan Engineer
  • July 16, 2017, 6:36 pm
Huh... Never thought that sort of problem would occur, thanks for bringing it up. I think that... maybe..., if you use the fastmode on WordEdit (I assumed you used world edit) it could somehow solve this issue. It's worth a try! Also, other tools such as MCedit or WorldPainter may not have this issue, but sadly I never really tested it out myself :(

I guess you could add some grass and fern by yourself using the command block contraption I made too, but it would be a pain to install those command blocks in your world if you don't know how. It's also not really the point I guess.

I hope you'll find a way to paste my trees properly using one of the method I mentioned, I'll tell you if I find an other way to do so. And thanks for the compliment!
Thanks for creating and making this available. I'm looking forward to using in my new world.

I agree with your points.

Honestly it would be fairy easy to learn coding just for these trees, similar to the Realistic Terrain Generation mod that gives minecraft more realistic slopes and caves and trees, it is a beautiful mod but it is a pain to actually play especially when you're ocd and don't want to leave floating trees.

I have a custom survival server me and my friends play on that use custom trees somewhat similar to these and it is a huge pain to cu down.

If you do pursue making a mod out of this or getting someone else to mode it I recommend having a timber mechanic with the mod as well.
  • MrWizz
  • Level 39
  • Artisan Engineer
  • February 18, 2017, 4:47 am
Yeah, I thought about the timber mechanic. It would definitly add a lot to the game, but I really don't have enough time learn coding for that. I can barely keep up with updating this pack, but if someone is willing to do such a mod, it would be amazing.

This kind of mod probably already exist. havn't done much search but if it does exist, all you'd have to do is to adapt it for these trees.

  • February 18, 2017, 1:31 pm
Yea I mean all you have to do is use the RTG mod along with the Timber mod and you have a mod similar to how this would go. I was just letting you know the feasibility of making this into a mod, I am sure there are plenty of terrain generating mods that could incorporate this into their generation so I imagine you'll get a request for this eventually. Anyways man keep up the good work! looks amazing!

Thanks a lot! This was pretty much the first feedback I had about the cinematic. It's a shame youtube doesn't seem to count views from PMC. Because if that, I have no idea if people actually watch the cinematic or not when they see the project. I have a lot more trouble getting views and sub on yt than on pmc. I gotta figure that out.

I haven't had the time to create shematics yet. Plus I've never done it so it's gonna take some time. What's the best way to create shematics quickly? How should I name each files?

I've been working on making more trees and adding stuff to the command block contraption. I will try to upload shematics for all trees when I post the second major update.
Should I try to make BO2 files too?
