City project Raban - Persian styled steampunk

Hi guys,

I'm up for something new. So I thougt up a completly different style I have never (yet) seen and never build before.
This city will be called "Raban".

The main idea is to build a water world city. Then mabey it will cross over to land. But the start and base will be over water. The city will be accessed by boat or flying vessels. All in favour for a steampunk setting.

The style will be a mix of steampunk, persian en techno-modern.

What you see at the screenshot it's just a small start of a entrance of the temple of knowledge. It gives you a nice view on the style I wanna use. I added some details to show you what way it will go. But be sure this is just a start!

The city limits are not yet thought up. These are buildings I sure like to build to form the city.

  • Temple of Knowledge - Temple/Library (20% done)
  • Tower of Life - Food and water (not yet started)
  • Factory of Science - Education (not yet started)
  • House of Justice - Police/Courthouse/Jail (not yet started)
  • Palace of Commerce - Shops (not yet started)
  • Chathedral of faith - Religion (not yet started)
  • Hubs of Life - Living space (not yet started)
  • Transport by Monorail, boats and flying vessels
  • Lot of extra's like gardens, temples, fountains, plazza's etc etc.


I hope you guys like this idea. If you do so, please comment, diamond and/or favorite so I will be encouraged to go furthur with this project. Offcourse by doing so I will commit myself to be posting regularly. I will try adding schematics and world saves asap when stuff is done. Also I will make separate projects to show off small parts of the city.

Added renderd images. The bridge is done. I also started a part of the interieur and adding more details.

Also started (not shown yet) with the garden in front of the main entrance. When done I will show!

Got some good ideas for the interieur... it will host a supercomputer-brain or sutch... :)

theres something about the scale.... it makes itself look bigger than it is somehow... not sure.
looks awsome though. cant wait to see it finished... and then maybe a download?

What do mean exactly? It's Steve height, but the dome is like 50 or 60 in diameter.

Yeah had some trouble in creativity, but know how to proceed now. Just need to make some time :)
