So I made a Fallout themed Vault Door about a month ago and honestly it was pretty rubbish. So I came back and tried again, this time with command blocks in tow.

With the magic of command blocks, Redstone, unicorn bone marrow, CHIM, and a splash of C0DA the vault door will now open just like in the ones in Fallout (But a bit more laggy, slightly less impressive and much more blocky).

So some rules, Don't rotate this schematic unless you know how to set each coordinate in the command blocks yourself. If you want to change the Vault door number or the door itself you can in the cloning room accessible by knocking out/ going through the diamond and gold ore. (Shown in picture). Lastly, this, err... I forgot, oh well.

Anyway, enjoy.

P.S. Resource pack used was Old World Blues.

Update #1 : by Pandjrox 03/01/2016 7:14:26 amMarch 1, 2016 @ 12:14 pm UTC

Had some issues when using this in 1.9, but I've ironed those out and created a new schematic as well as a new world save.

Also now there's some other things in the world that I've been working on (a sneak peak).

More like this

  Have something to say?

I know this post is 2 years old, but i have had absolutely 0 luck trying to fund an actual good vault door, being that i know very little about redstone. How's the progress on this door? If you are the creator, just email me at gaming.revamps@gmail.com if you can help me figure out how to make the door for myself.

So firstly, sorry for the extremely late reply. Yes this door is complete, you can download the schematic and place it into your world, it uses command blocks to open and close with tad of redstone thrown in there for good measure. If you want to check out the door in a world download the Vault Tile Sets that I made, it has the door in an example build. But if you're looking for a piston door this isn't for you, nor am I really. I have a very basic knowledge of redstone and just kinda wing it most of the time, I'm sure other people on here can make a better Vault Door if asked.

At the moment I'm working on the Vault's short story so that should be done soon (I know I keep saying soon, but it's going to be finished soon. Promise). And I need to download mcedit so that I can copy the new command blocks (Trying to make a Tesla generator with them, but I might scrap that because it's a little buggy).

Anyway, sorry for the wait.

I'm working on them now, so in the next few days I hope. Is there any rooms you'll like to see in particular?

Perhaps a fallout 4 main hub, that has built in diners and rooms, perhaps apartment blocks, somewhat like vault 81. And medical  areas, water, reactors, maybe some sinister labs and dilapetated versions of the rooms.

Thanks for the feedback. I've made some living quarters, a atrium, two diners and a Overseers office. I'm working on the reactor room, just fiddling around the the lightning. But I didn't even think about the medical bay or creating aged or dilapidated versions so thanks for reminding me.

no problem, anything to help a fellow buildr, you should build a starter vault to show people how the mcedit can be used. Perhaps to even add a backstory to your vault with the many diffrent rooms.
