I read the rules very carefully. It says nowhere in the rules that it needs to be a roller coaster that is able to be ridden. It states that contestants are to build a roller coaster. What I built is an aesthetic roller coaster. This isn't a reason to disqualify as it says nowhere in the rules that it can't be an aesthetic coaster. I urge you to reconsider this disqualification on the grounds of the reason given for this disqualification being inapplicable per the rules for this particular contest.Thank you,Kyle

I believe it is fairly obvious that the roller coaster contest requires a ride as evidenced by the logo. Additionally, the following line from the contest description (emphasis added): "He hopes others will enjoy the rides as much as he does." clearly mentions rides, which walking is not. With that said, my decision is still no.

Well, whatever. I've seen the other judges who had achieved 100% of ratings while I was still in the contest (at least 3 of them had judged mine prior to this uncalled for disqualification). It seems that you are by yourself in your belief. If it needed tracks it would have been explicitly stated, which it was not. I assessed my creative options, and came to the conclusion that an aesthetic coaster was more fit for this competition. The introduction to the contest is as it always is for every other contest; just a story. The guidelines come later on in the post in which it states what is allowed and not allowed. It isn't stated in either of those sections if the coaster must contain tracks or if that is grounds for disqualification. If it was such an important aspect of this competition I would think that it would be stated in the rules, don't you?

Common sense should be used and obviously a roller coaster contest would require a track to ride on. Additionally, I have disqualified about 10 entries in the contest from the finalists so far for similar reasons as well as not providing proper download links, so you are not alone. The other judges will be getting a PM from me when I have completed the review of the finalists to verify that they actually meet the guidelines as it is obvious that they were not spending the proper time and effort to judge this contest and my external duties prevented me from making a sweep of the entries before the judging process started to DQ all of the entries like this that fail to meet the guidelines.

Um... I'm just saying but, you're saying common sense should eliminate the fact to use creativity? I don't think that's really fair. I don't want to argue but, shouldn't you state it in the rules? What happens if something like this comes out again?

When you are deciding whether or not to disqualify an entry to the competition you must be some sort of guidelines that you are following. As a judge, I don't think that you should be able to single-handedly decide whether a contest entry should be disqualified IF it isn't breaking any of the stated rules. If you want to remove my contest entry, I think you should at least come to some sort of agreement with the other judges, as "having no common sense" is not a reason to disqualify. You are disqualifying me for a rule that you have made up yourself. You are the one who needs to follow the rules here. I don't mean to come off harsh but this is really irritating to me.

Sorry about that! I didn't realize that unverified mediafire accounts only allow 150 downloads. I've verified my mediafire account now and you will be able to download it without getting that message, Thanks for letting me know. :)

Wow. Pretty epic dude. This is probably worthy of being a finalist. Let's just hope that it doesn't need tracks. If it doesn't, well, my entry is gonna fail. Miserably. But this one will prevail!
