Like our build? Diamond the project! Thanks for your support, guys.
The M.S. PRIMA VISTA is a luxury liner and moving theater that is used by the Tantalus Theater Troupe in Final Fantasy IX on the Playstation 1. The back end of the ship serves as the primary stage for the Theater's productions, and is designed to open and close as needed during flight. Little does the world know that the Tantalus Theater Troupe also uses the Prima Vista as their base of operations for less wholesome activities, appearing as performers and entertainers to cover their theiving activity and using the shows as a distraction while they perform a job.
The build you see was produced over the course of a few months of on-and-off work. It was modelled with the back stage in the 'open' position, versus the 'closed' one that you can see in the introductory cinematic to Final Fantasy IX, which makes the stage visibly accessible. The entire interior has been fleshed out by referring to concept images from Squaresoft and, while a bit labyrinthine, is fun to explore. Thanks go to apricotmuffins, DaxKlevin, Avver, Jusserhead and luscan for their contributions!
The Crafti.ca server texture pack was used in the video and renders above. It is available for download here if you want to try it!
