This is a world (currently single player) full of different cultures and races. I play this world using the doku-dark texture pack.

Common practices:

Merchant Travelling, most living cultures get the majority of their ores and ingots from Mountaintop Mine traded for other materials, such as dyes, stone and glass, or for food ingredients. A merchant travels to a foreign culture holding a range of goods in a caravan for trade, and then returns to their own culture with the traded goods.

Torches, each culture has a particular style torch which leads from one major fort or temple to another. So if you follow the torches, you'll find one of the places named below.

Mine Entrances, you'll know it's a mine entrance when you see a series of wooden crates with torches on them. When you're in mountaintop mine, you'll find a breadcrumb trail of wooden crates to guide you on which way to go. Otherwise you'd get lost for sure. You will always be able to see the next crate if you stand beside the previous one.

Cultures:

Mountaintop Fortress, Myrmidon Temple, Njordon Hold, The Netherway, and the Floating Islands (unnamed for now).

I haven't worked on Mountaintop Fortress for a while, it has a crafting quarters, living quarters, a 3 story underground library and the biggest damn cavern I've ever seen (known as Mountaintop Mine). I'd say it's 80% complete with my current plans for extension. But I do believe Mountaintop will have other structures as well as the fortress.

Mountaintop Mine probably holds around 800 torches spaced out and still has areas uncovered. It has 3 entrances, 2 of which are nearly at opposite ends of the foot of the mountain. It's so big there are 2 separate caverns above it with mountaintop fortress above them (most of the fortress is underground). It's all naturally occurring, minus the underground tree...and the smithy, which btw, is the only place currently with a nether portal.

Myrmidon Temple is quite a sight to behold. This culture is crossed between Zen and Aztec. The temple archers are known for their outstanding accuracy at long ranges. The only way into the temple is via the massive steps at the front. I'd say it's 50% complete.

Noone knows much about the Njordon Hold, the only part of it that's visible, is a battlement under a waterfall, and there appears to be no way inside. In fact, noone knows what a Njordon looks like. Their culture is full of mystery. Rumor has it they have secret outposts all over the place, and they have secret tunnels connecting them all. It is also rumored that the mountaintop librarians know more about them, but never speak of them. I'd say the Njordon Culture is around 30% complete.

The Netherway is the largest culture. It was built by Dagons known as the Steel Dragons. They're famous for their glass bridges across oceans of lava, and huge mushroom farms. They are also the only culture to have a currency as of yet. Their currency is glowstone dust. I have over 700 words of text about the Steel Dragons, but I won't go into that much detail about them. I will say though that the Dagon's original homes were the naturally occurring glowstone clusters on the ceiling. I'd say The Netherway is 20% complete. There's a lot more to do.

The Floating Islands hasn't had much work done to it. I made a start but got side-tracked and built The Netherway. Lol. Not much has been done in the way of culture either. I'd say it's 10% complete and not worth the long distance journey to get to it as of yet.

I don't think this project will ever go beyond 50% complete, it's an ever growing thing.

Footnote: I have a couple of challenges for you. See if you can find all 6 mushroom farms (one is labelled VII instead of VI). And also see if you can find the Njordon's secret entrances into Mountaintop Fortress. (The njordons are fond of water)

Quick question, the Dagons were called Steel Dragons?

They were nicknamed steel dragons by people who visited them from the overworld, and they took on the name. Dagon is what they call their race, (i.e. we call ourselves humans), but Steel Dragon is what they call their local origin (i.e. one human is American, another might be British).

Sorry about the really long delay, I've been unable to log in for months. No they don't have wings, however they are able to jump 3 times as high and far as humans can. I was going to make a mod with Dagons in, but I gave up after Mojang started releasing updates so frequently. I have a lot of difficulty setting it up each time, so..

By hand, yes. Before there was creative mode and before I used SPC. So everything you see there is built 100% survival. Although I did set it to peaceful while in the nether. Ghasts were too much of a pain to build anything creative.

Tbh I don't think I'll be coming back to this. I'm more programming and modifying games now than level building.
