UPDATE APHELION
The portal at the Zephyran Academy has lied dormant for many decades now. The events that took place a mystery lost to time. But now, a spirit has appeared, standing near the portal. Bringing with her the chance to uncover the atrocities that took place, and, a chance to redeem some of it, in the new quest for Daruma: Exoneration of the Damned.
On your journey you will encounter:
- Towns and villages filled with NPCs and shops!
- Hundreds of people to talk to, (with around 2000 lines of dialogue!)
- Many side quests! With multiple choices and ways of completion!
- Many dungeons, tombs, caverns, and the like littered across the country!
- Dangerous enemies, monsters, and demons lurking about the wilderness of Daruma!
- Multiple joinable factions, with their own questlines!
- A vast landscape to wander and explore!
- Four bosses to fight and defeat!
- Hundreds of weapons and armor scattered about! From the warped and cracked wooden stick, to a magical artifact capable of severe destruction!
- Lots of custom songs that will naturally play as you explore the world!
- Loot in every nook and cranny!
You have the ability to role play. Most dialogues will have multiple choices in your response, and depending on how you react to things, may earn a reward, quest, or permanently ruin your relations with someone.
No one is invincible. Should you have the strength, willpower, and desire you may fight and kill whoever you encounter
But not without consequences.

The map was not originally made in multiplayer, I've done my best to convert it but some things might not work, so if anything breaks or seems wrong please report it to me!

==Map and Resource Pack Settings==
- GUI scale set to normal or small
- Moody brightness
- Jukebox/record sounds set to above zero if you want to hear the custom music.
- Music to OFF
- I recommend you use a 32x32 or larger Resource pack, making sure that mine is on top. Some of the text might be misaligned otherwise
- A render distance higher than 16 might reveal things that weren't intended to be seen. So go higher at your own enjoyment.
- Make sure the Daruma Resource Pack is on top. The resource pack has all the music, sounds, and textures.
- Just in case, type: /noppes config font minecraft. A lot of formatting in NPC dialogs only work with this font, so it is very important you type in this command as soon as you are spawned.

Can show entity health, so you can know how much health an opponent has while fighting.

Baubles

Super super recommended! Improved Backpacks takes up the chest armor slot, but with Baubles you can wear both
the backpack AND a chestplate. Baubles adds new armor slots.
Any minimap mod
A minimap mod will allow you to put waypoints are areas of interests, and help you keep track of where you are in the world.
DO NOTE though that the minimap may not show an accurate representation of the world. Lots of places will TP the player somewhere else, and the edges of the map might look weird.
Optifine
version: Any 1.12.2 version
Improves Minecraft's framerate and quality.
Try to allocate 3 - 4 GB of ram to Minecraft.

Multiplayer Only Update. This makes it so all players faction points are linked. It world be cool to have different players join different teams, but unfortunately the map wasn't designed for it and things can break if faction points aren't linked together.
This one gave me a LOT of trouble, so if any goes wrong please let me know. I tested it over and over again to make sure it worked and I am like 80 percent sure it won't break.
If you're willing to take the risk for some cool kind of challenge, you can continue to play the older version, or go into creative, grab the NPC scripter, right click the air, click players, go to tab 10 and just delete it.
Other than that though, assume you're playing as a duo.

I started a series on this map and wanted to share the playlist here, it will continue to get updated as I post more videos. Hope this is alright and am glad to find some custom NPC's maps, pretty fun.
Will say I have been running into an issue where quests don't complete until a short time afterward.

Yeah, this map is my first time doing anything big. Really unoptimized, and plus CustomNPCs is a finnicky mod.
Just wanted to say that this is a really fun map. I made a video on this map a while back and finally have a second episode coming out tomorrow, and I am definitely planning on covering more of it. Looking forward to any future updates or additions as well :D
I am really enjoying your map so far! I played it before in the past, but I never had time to finish it, so I wanted to give it another shot. However, I ran into something of which I am not certain it was intentional. It really is a minor thing, but I just wanted to post it here so I can be sure about it. I noticed the quest from the homeless man in the starting town (the one where you give him a coin) keeps on repeating, kind of like the quest from the girl in the tavern used to. I also found out that you can take a sledgehammer from one of the weapon racks in the woodworker's house, whereas right clicking the others give the message that the player does not own the block. and I'm not sure that's intentional either. Anyway, like I said, minor things, and I am still very much enjoying playing!

I'm sorry but ... it's been like 3 days that I try to install your wonderful world on a server and ... i'm not able to make it work.
I was playing it with my son on my machine and it worked pretty well except that once my son joigned my game (opened by LAN) the NPC interactions (dialogues and so) were not working (or working with a delay of 1 or 2 minutes sometimes).
So i tried to make it work on a server on a spare linux machine (debian).
Installed java 8
Installed forge (tried versions 2854 / 2851 / 2768
Installed mods and world (multiplayer version)
Run the server.
Each time we can log in, and we are at the right starting place (the one with credits / mod test).
Everything seems super fine (we see the barrel, we see the NPC and he answer when we try to speak to him BUT ... and this is a big BUT ... when we try to click the button to begin the game (be teleported to the tutorial ... nothing happen.
I've reinstalled it like 10 time those last 3 days and ... everytime it's the same.
Did someone succeed to make this world work on a server ? What was your steps ? Maybe i'm doing something wrong but i can't figure it out and ... yeah we like this world so we really wanted to be able to play it with dialogues working :)
