What was this server?
It's been a few years since I posted this but if i remember correctly this was during peek Covid-19 and every in-person event was closed. Deadmau5 created this server for the purpose of trying out an in game live music event experience just like what Fortnite did but before Fortnite actually did it. (from what I remember he never got around to it)

Story:
In day one of the server being formed the IP to connect was being passed around the Mau5 discord and anyone that saw it could connect to it. I was one of the few dozen players that spotted the IP and became part of the small community. After about a week we all agreed to make the server whitelisted and from there on for the whole summer we all played some Minecraft. (Deadmau5 would pop in ever week or so for a bit and just mess around and leave as seen in this footage) Later the server was publicly available to connect to, but I wasn't around when that happened and am unaware if it's still running. (server was also set to 1.12.2 for whatever reason. My guess is back then that was the most stable version, as anything further was laggy and hard to deal with)
