Hey all,
So this is what I have been working on. As a student studying electronics I became intimately familiar with clock circuits, bcd counters, etc etc. And the second I picked up MC and learned about redstone I wanted to build one. :)
I recently decided to start over from scratch as I have learned a lot recently about more efficient ways to move signal around.
At the moment this clock has these features planned:
24h format
Latch controlled display update (All segments will update at once every clock tick)
User controls placed in view of the display
I'm open to suggestions for more features.
Ill provide a schematic and world save when the project is nearer to completion.

Additional Notes
Credit to Mrbojangles217 for his method of powering the display. I like it much more then the method I devised.| Progress | 35% complete |

Update #1 : by Raniy 09/08/2011 3:05:15 pmSeptember 8, 2011 @ 7:05 pm UTC
I had planned to release the display module with latches today as I have moved on to building the decoders. However when I took a close look I realized the latches I had connected to the first (1 seconds) decoder interfere with each other and need to be redesigned. Or maybe just moved farther apart.
At any rate, rolled the completion back to 35%, and instead released only the display itself. No latches or decoders :/

Have something to say?
I became admin on the popular server omgwtfhax.info
This has of course eaten up alot of my time. I plan to get back to work on the clock soon... I miss it. :)
Also timing circuits are often among the first electronic enthusiasts learn. That along with the fact that an AM/FM Radio would be somewhat pointless in MC... This is me being nostalgic ;)
