You should convert it into .litematic format file.
The easiest way to convert it is just loading .schematic file in litematica mod, then just save it.
Followings are the detailed process.
1. download the .schematic file.
2. move .schematic file into schematics folder. (C:\Users\PC\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\schematics)
3. load .schematic file ingame with litematica mod.
4. save loaded .schematic file, then it will generate new .litematic file.
5. unload .schematic file, and load .litematic file you just generated.
