On a hill in Alsace, there are three dungeons dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, the oldest of the known castles of the Haut-Rhin.
This large castle will be the subject of various partitions that will gradually lead to a division of the site into three separate castles. The year 1466 saw the complete destruction of the site - the chapel Saint-Pancrace excepted - during the war known as Six Deniers. The castle was no longer rebuilt.
Its ancient destruction does not allow for accurate historical reconstruction so it is my most fanciful castle.
