I have learned a lot about WorldPainter in the last few days, and have found many ways to do things much better. I was dissatisfied with my Enclosed Valleys before, so I started from scratch on version 3, and I must admit, I am very proud of this one. I have used a custom stone mixture to make to mountains look more realistic, I have placed snow in a way that it does not just cut off at a certain level and look unnatural. And I have gotten rid of the trees clinging unrealistically to the steep slopes.
This will probably be my last version of the Enclosed valley, and I will now move on to other similar projects. Use this in any way you see fit. Build a cool secluded mountain village, or build a massive towering fort, or even create an adventure or PvP map. I must warn you though that there are no caves generated, so If you plan to use this for a survival world I feel you should know this.
On top of the generation looking dozens of times better, the valley is now almost three times the original size at roughly 700 blocks wide. Plenty of space to build whatever you want. I must also say that if you are trying to make an adventure map, you will have to find a way to keep your players from leaving the map, it is undecorated past the edge of the mountains, and is strictly meant to be viewed from the inside. Any suggestions would be great.
