Hey guys
I am very proud to show you the project that took me over 4 months...The project that made me lose my mind...
The project that made me ragequit a few times.
Here is Erisia. This is a gothic cathedral.
The cathedral of Reims was a huge inspiration for me.
What I like about it is the large amount of details. For some people, it may be too much, but it is actually how the gothic style works. A blank space was considered as a potential spot for the devil.
Useless to say that at the time when these cathedrals were built, it was an effective way to promote religion. This was by far not my intentions considering that I am a strong atheist. What is fascinating about cathedrals is the amount of determination humans put into it to simply promote their way of thinking.
This is also the first time in my life that I felt like I was expressing myself in an artistic way by building this structure. Indeed, all these details are influenced by the way I feel at the time. If it rains outside, I'll build in a way. If I am sad, A few variations are then noticable. The interior is not done because I feel like I am not good enough to make it.
Anyway, this building is the very first step of my ascent into madness.

(08/24/2016) I am currently working on my next project. It will be even bigger than this one. Sadly, it is kind of far from being done and needs a couple months. I am really starting to question my sanity and these builds are not helping. but I cannot help it. I have always needed a way to express myself in an artistic way and I feel like this is also a way to do it...

I like the way you see it. I build to get away from the world in a way. When I build, I do not worry about anything. All that matters in those times is my very "art". The only down side is that I feel like what I am doing is very paradoxical. I am trying to run away from the world as we know it and still build what appears to be replicas (They are not) of buildings in real-life. What I am looking for is those parts where I am left with no pictures or a plain wall and have to figure out a way to make it special. I am glad you like it, thanks for the motivation.
Donc effectivement, je ne me suis jamais vraiment intéressé à l'aménagement intérieur dans Minecraft et vu la taille de ce bâtiment, je n'ai même pas osé. Un jour peut être, l'aménagement d'Erisia sera un nouveau projet :D
