LORE:
Many hundreds of centuries ago, the small world of Tarik was a tropical paradise. That is, until the nearest star, X79F42, exploded. When the shockwave struck Tarik, it was too much for the planet and destroyed it, scattering thousands tiny freezing chunks of stone through space. Only two humans survived. Somehow, they were on the same chunk and created shelters from the endless snow. They had a frozen stream on the chunk, in which they got their water. They ate food scattered by the explosion. Even though they knew that eventually the food would run out, they hoped that they would someday find another hospitable planet in which the gravity would draw them in and they would be able to create a home.
