Farming With Mr. Blox

I know this has been done many times before, but I recently saw another guy build a really massive sugarcane farm and that inspired me to wanna give it a go :-) So even though the idea/concept is old I wanted to share with you my way of farming...

And this is what I came up with:

A combined and absolutely gigantic cacti and sugarcane farm!

THE SUGARCANE FARM:

It's has a piston driven harvest system where only the middle and top part is harvested leaving the bottom part back to regrow itself. The farm has a total of 171 growing cells, each holding 28 canes witch amounts to a total of 4788 canes. With every harvest the middle and top piece of the cane is collected, meaning one harvest will produce as much as 9576 pieces of sugar.

WARNING: HARVESTING THE CANES WILL CAUSE MASSIVE LAG!!!

THE CACTI FARM:

This is fully automatic. All you need to do is to position yourself at the pickup point and let the cacti come to you. The farm has 380 growing cells and each of them has 40 cacti. This amounts to a grand total of 15200 cacti constantly growing and harvesting themselves.

Because of the simple setup, it's easy to expand this farming compound into epic proportions. So go ahead and knock yourself out farming :-)

One last thing; I have no idea, what the hourly output is, so please don't ask. But I do guarantie that it is sufficient ;-)
