Hey guys, today I bring you a quick project I made, a recreation of the famous Farnsworth house.
The main goal of this project was to recreate the exterior almost perfectly.
Build period - 1945-1951
Architect - Mies van der Rohe
Description - The Farnsworth House was designed and constructed by Mies van er Rohe between 1945-51. It is a one-room weekend retreat in a once-rural setting, located 55 miles southwest of Chicago's downtown on a 60-acre (24 ha) estate site. The steel and glasshouse was commissioned by Dr. Edith Farnsworth
as a place where she could engage in her hobbies: playing the violin,
translating poetry, and enjoying nature.
Mies created a 1,500-square-foot house that is widely recognized as an iconic masterpiece of the International Style of Architecture. The house is currently owned and operated as a house museum.
