AU profile - The Pappenheim was an experimental armoured cruiser that began life as a paddle-wheel packet ship that was taken on hand during construction for conversion into a test-bed for the Munchhausen composite-condensing engine. Fitted out as a warship, the Pappenheim was generally unsuited for operations in open seas due to her rather cumbersome paddle-wheel design and was relegated to coastal duties in the Baltic and around the shallow waters of the Netherlands.


Little note here, but the world which most of these fictional imperial ships come from is based on an Europa Universalis 4 playthrough where Frederick the Great united the Holy Roman Empire and proceeded to kick in the teeth of most of the nations of Europe, Asia and Africa (and Australia been colonised by the HRE to boot). I play Prussia hella aggressively.
