This is a mob trap that makes use of a few properties of spiderwebs. First, if you stand on one, you sink. Second, if you do stand on one, you can't go up. Third, while on a spiderweb, you can't move to any blocks or above the level of the web, and finally, you can't move up while underneath a spiderweb. All if these properties make it very useful in mob traps. Mine makes it so that once a mob gets stuck in it, they can't get out an eventually fall into a small pit at the bottom. Here they are preserved, even through the day. If you want to kill them, you can fill the pit with lava, or use my Field Mob Killer, which you can get to through my homepage. I might put a link here anyway though.
