Hello everyone, this is Pokeit with my first build posted on PMC!
About the Forest Abode:
So, I decided to make a house, it might remind you of a mansion, but it's not so big. I got confused aswell, so I decided to call it an abode. A forest abode. (Monkeyy suggested this name)
There is a forest that's leading up to the house, with quite a few tree's, a lake, a waterfall, a river and an easter egg. (Good luck on finding it)
The road is made out of gravel, as it added a medieval feel to the build. There's a fountain infront of the house which I liked quite a bit. And a garden surrounding the roads infront of the Forest Abode, and a garden behind it.
The outside is made out of cobblestone stairs, spruce logs and spruce planks. I really like the mix of these three materials. The inside is decorated with various furnitures. The interior was alright, I decided to try out some new things here and there, but all in all, I like it.
The story behind the Forest Abode:
One night, there was a storm. This wasn't a normal storm, it was a big storm, scientists had named it Helga, because it was so rough.
Pokeit lived in a house that was made out of soft birch wood. It couldn't tolerate much, so it was about to collapse when the storm passed by. He told his wife, and his little kid Joey that they needed to pack their stuff, because they had to flee.
Pokeit and his family prayed to the gods of Valhalla that they would protect them on their journey through Midgard.
Suddenly the rain got worse, and Pokeit said "We need to go now! Grab your bags!"
Joey sobbed, but grabbed his bags, and held tightly onto his mothers hand.
They started the journey through the forest. Pokeit rank infront of his wife and his son, incase some dangers would threaten them. He wielded his axe that he retrieved from his master Thrym, when he was laying on his deathbed.
Suddenly a giant spider leaped forward, and Pokeit instantly took a charge at it. Pokeit sevearly hurt the spider, and it let out a huge groun. But it wasn't over, the spider stepped forward, and smashed his hairy, gross leg against Pokeit. Pokeit easily dodged it, and chopped the leg off. The spider popped, and Pokeit retrieved a spider eye.
Pokeit and his family went on, when suddenly Pokeit heard a scream. Pokeit's wife yelled "Joey!" Pokeit quickly turned around, and saw a skinny, but tall creature holding onto Joey, and in the next second, it disappeared with Joey in its grasp.
"Oh, dear Odin. Why did this happen?" Pokeit's wife was mumbling and crying at the same time. Pokeit grabbed her by the arm and said: "We can't stay here for long. We need to find a place, untill dawn, then we can search for little Joey.
Pokeit and his wife searched through the forest, when they came across a forest abode. It was surrounded by walls, and had a nice garden. They knocked on one of the two doors to see if anyone opened. But nobody did. Pokeit slowly opened the door. There was nobody there, except for a dog that was laying down. The house looked pretty good on the inside, and it was well lit up aswell. They opened their bags, and put away some stuff. Pokeit said: "We need to stay here for the night, we'll find little Joey tomorrow." And thus, the search started, for retrieving Joey from the black creature.
