Hi! Welcome to Freddy's Water-Plex!!

Hey everyone, it's MrCake_21 back with another map, but something quite unique this time! This project, the 7 Seas, is a remake / sequel to my other map, Freddy & Friends Water-World. Shortly after that map was created I wanted to give another go at making the style of map as I felt like I could really push the limits of what the first map was trying to be.

Anyways! This map will be updated as I go, making it be the first time I've ever shown a map while it's in progress, which there's a lot of! So far I've been creating dev-logs for it every few months to show what I've been up to every time I check in.

While creating this map has taken a lot of time up so far, and will continue to do so, it's been my most proud project that I've ever made, even in its incomplete form. I've been able to push who I am as a builder and continue to do so with every step I make to completing it.

As for a time of when I plan on finishing it, that's still in the air. I hope to complete it by the end of 2027, but that's way too far out for me to set a deadline or anything of that nature. For the mean time, I just plan on placing the next block!

Thank you so much for taking your time to read this, to look at the project, or for interacting: it truly means a lot!

Devlog #11 - No More Entrance! : by Custom Bros 04/17/2025 9:19:06 pmApr 17th

Devlog #11:

Welcome back everyone, it’s time to add another devlog to the list! This one will be a bit longer and more extensive than usual with photos and explanations as recently there’s been quite a big change to my map making process!

New Possibilities!:

As you can see here, I’ve downloaded the more popular creative mod, Axiom! This is a mod that I’ve wanted to test for a while, but due to previously working on a Mac that was about 6-10 years old, I decided against it. BUT, I’ve since bought and put together my own computer which will be able to run it. With the little time I’ve used towards learning and using it, it’s going to be able to help me out drastically when it comes to planning and building the map going forward.

Along with Axiom, I’ve also installed Iris and a few shaders which don't bring my frames down to 3! I’ll be posting screenshots of my map with shaders as they’re more eye-catching to people scrolling along Planet Minecraft and will hopefully make my map look better than what it might be. Don’t worry if you miss normal vanilla lighting though, I still plan on showing my WIP screenshots in vanilla lighting!

Finishing the Entire Entrance Area!:

Recently I finished detailing the entire entrance area! The area being: Parking Lot, Connection Hall, Locker Room, Restrooms, Lower Offices, Upper Offices, Employee Halls, Security Room, Help Center, Kelp Cafe, Main Hub, First Aid, Entrance Boiler Room, and the Giftshop! That also doesn’t include small rooms or bits and bobs that were updated, added, or changed to make the map better! While that is obviously a long list, the majority of these rooms were already outlined and a bit detailed, they really just needed one more push in order to get them done. But now, to dive deeper into each of them!

To start off this long list, I’ll go over to the Parking Garage. This 3-Story garage now has around ~559 parking spots for guests to use, with two different bus stations to load and drop people off now in case they park elsewhere! Previously this garage was 2 stories tall, had no exit / entrance, along with no stairs towards the back to let people travel the different stories. While the 3rd floor wasn’t something I planned, nor the connection it uses, I’m happy as I think it makes the entire area much more believable and realistic compared to places like Walt Disney World or Mall of America.

Going in walking order, the connection point between the garage and actual building has been updated to instead of kiosks for guests to pay with instead of a singular desk for people to purchase tickets. The change makes the room feel much smoother to enter and exit, and makes it feel bigger so it’s not as awkward as it was previously.

After there, you can then head into the Help Center which was previously undetailed and was hard for me to picture what to do with. I ended up settling on a fairly neutral yet water based theme with a section for strollers to go for parents who want to rent them (Can you theoretically go everywhere with a stroller? No. And do I care? A little). This hall then connects to the Security Office & small Server Room along with to First Aid in case of any emergencies.

First Aid has two patient rooms along with a back supply room full of antibiotics and any medicine that might be useful for doctors for patients. It’s quite bland and meant to look sterile as all medical places should look.

Heading the other way from the connection hall, it’ll lead you to some restrooms and further the Kelp Cafe and Locker Room.

The kelp cafe has also been planned out for a long time, although not entirely. This cafe has a green and cyan color scheme with a black room and wooden floor pattern. Inside of it includes an arcade room, kitchen, cold storage, dry storage, and a supply closet as well.

To the right of the Cafe is the Locker Rooms, an area that was mentioned over a year ago! Inside you’ll find a help desk, loads of rentable lockers, and an employee staircase which connects to the Boiler Room for the Entrance Area.

Finally getting to the Boiler Room, this is an area that I’ve had planned out since November of 2023, so this has had a LONG time to be made. In the end, I am beyond proud of how well detailed and grimy it looks. It’s a theme I plan on making as other Boiler Rooms are also planned for other areas of the map.

The other connection to the Boiler Room comes from the employee walls which connect from the Boiler to the Upper Management Offices. These offices are for the majority of heads that run Freddy’s Water-Plex. They are so fancy that they include a water piece in the middle to look fancy. They also connect to the Main Entrance Hall to Lighthouse Lobby

Along with the Upper Offices, I also created Lower Offices with cubicles for a dozen or two employees to work at with restrooms, two meeting rooms, and a filing room for all the papers that Fazbear Entertainment has in location. Connecting to those offices is also a hall which connects to the Help Center with a lost and found room that has several shirts, phones, and shoes somehow. On the other side of the offices, they connect to the Treasure Chest Gift Shop.

This small area or point to go has been quite challenging as for the longest time I could never decide on what I wanted this area to be and look like, but I thankfully found a design and scheme that I found to be a bit unique and good looking. Being a giftshop I found that it was only appropriate to make it themed like a plastic treasure chest, like one you’d find in a home or official aquarium.

The final thing to talk about this entire area though, is the main walking area! I’ve really just gone around and added all of the posters and/or advertisements that I’ve had to make so far to this zone. I’ve also added bushes or planters to break up all of the openness and to give some more life to the place.

This area has gone through some great difficulty as I think it’s been the MOST challenging thing I’ve had to plan out and work through. One of the very first few things I did when I started to create this map was the entrance. For it to be finally done and “over with”, it’s quite a relief and really nice to see.

SeaGround Lab:

To now get to something not mentioned before, at least to my knowledge, is the SeaGround labs! These labs will be meant for kids to learn about underwater creatures and the sea. At the moment only the theming and some detailed ideas are in place, it’s getting started to round out SeaGround.

SeaGround Gift Shop

Another part I’m starting to round out more is the Gift Shop. If that sounds odd, it should be. After the last devlog I went back to the giftshop and realized I didn’t like it as much due to its simplicity, so I decided to go back to the drawing board where I made a much more interesting concept. Instead, the room will look like a pirate market where you can find and buy “treasures” and “goodies”. I think this new idea works out much better thematically, and on a creative or unique level.

Aqua Ocean Overhaul:

At this point I feel like I’ve repeated myself a lot, but its also been another area or Sea that I’ve been worried about making at this point. When I originally designed the entrance to it, and part of the main area, the layout of it never felt right to me. It felt awkward and half baked, and that’s because it was. I then tried a few more ideas to make it more inspired like real aquariums, but that also fell through. In the end, I decided to go back and look at a pillar rule I had set for myself when starting this map. The rule was to make this map have floors on floors, make it have several stories or multi-floors to create a noticeable floor height variety. With that idea in motion, I decided to make the entire aquarium Sea 4 stories high.

This is especially when Axiom came in clutch as with the mod I can draw in-game to create ideas for how the layouts can look. It’s much easier to do that in-game using a white board and go from there. This devlog won’t be about this area, so for now I’ll only give the teaser screenshot from above.

Sign-Off:

With all of this now being wrapped up, that’s another devlog I have completed and more progress with the map! While I won’t promise for certain, I’m thinking of having the next devlog focus on the Aquarium Sea, named Aqua Ocean, along with the Food court, Frozen Tide, as well. I’ve been wanting to focus on new seas and areas for the map, as I’ve been very slowly chipping away at them in the background. But that’s sadly all for now, so until next time, have a Great Day!

Your map is incredible and it shows that the more time you take, the more incredible the map will actually be. This is what I felt when testing the FNaF 10th anniversary demo. Looking forward to seeing the other demos if there are any and maybe finally the release of the map.
Good luck for the continuation of the map.
