Frostwind

Frostwind was a small village in the cold northern wastes. The inhabitants had a very small number of resources, electing to use snow to build the majority of their homes. The freezing weather was constant, allowing the previous inhabitants to carve blocks of ice from the lake and use them as windows. The igloo where the villagers slept contained two precious flowers, rare sights in this area of the world. Their ancestor's house contained their tools, and a chilled storage room kept the food fresh for long periods of time. When it came time to cook the food, the great fire pit that was created in the center of the village was exactly what was needed. A small building was built on the lake to allow fishing under the ice while protecting the owner from the elements, but it sits empty, forgotten by all except for the remains of the hole in the ice. Evidence that a mine was created lies abandoned within the cliff overlooking the village, a half mined vein of coal and a short track to the surface being all that remains of the mine. A cold winter drove the villagers from this desolate place, but perhaps you can reclaim it and discover what the abandoned mine hides within.
