This was ordinarily build as a Spawn island. Your players spawn here its dark and scary, then they move over the bridge towards the portal that takes them into the server.
you can place skulk blocks around the island to make it very dark and scary and maybe add the sound of a warden, and zombies, I had it that way but had to pull it all off for the pictures.
