I present to you the Grand Hotel Astoria, a magnificent piece of early 20th century architechture. It can hold 341 guests in 136 rooms in various configurations. Enjoy your meals in a top notch restaurant with a view of the wonderful flower garden. Enjoy plays and sketches in our own theatre or take a swim in our underground pool. Improve your fitness in our gym room or by taking walks in the little forest outside. Relax in our comfortable café, which turns into a lively bar when night falls, or lay in the sun by our lovely little lake.

The public area might be nice, but a deeper look behind the curtains could be interesting as well! Maybe there are some hidden things that the common guests aren't supposed to see... at least while they're still alive. ;) This hotel is inspired by the two "Verfallen" albums by the band ASP, which tell a horror story in the setting of the real hotel Astoria in Leipzig, Germany. There are some inside jokes (the gift shop for example), so don't be confused.

As a bonus, the hotel is located in our personal creative server map, so if you fly around for a bit, you can find many interesting and weird things.


Command blocks and particles must be enabled for the full experience.

Download via Google Drive, you need to extract the zip file into your saves folder.

This was built using the patrix resource pack with a few custom modifications. The 128x and 64x versions are included in the download and can be extracted to your resource pack folder. Using this resource pack is strongly recommended, as many features don't work and/or look ugly without it. You need to be running it with OptiFine though. And keep in mind to put the "basic" pack at the bottom when activating ingame. I also recommend using a shader.


Make sure these settings are set correctly, or else the textures will get messed up:

• "Quality Settings > Natural Textures" to Off
• "Quality Settings > Custom Colors" to On
• "Detail Settings > Alternate Blocks" to On
• "Detail Settings > Trees" to Smart or Fancy

• "Shaders > Shader Options > Raytracing Options > Full Raytrace Reflections" to On (for SEUS PTGI shader only)
• "Shaders > Shader Options > Texture Resolution" to match the res of the pack you're using (for SEUS PTGI shader only)
